MAKTUB comes from Arabic and means " It's Written" or " It Was Meant to Be". We deeply believe that things, experiences, and people who come into our lives do so for a reason. It means that what is meant to happen will always find its own unique, magical, and wonderful way to manifest. Our restaurant was born with the intention of bringing the flavors of the Mediterranean and the Middle East closer to the McAllen community, combining tradition, hospitality and quality.
Everything is made in home and fresh. The shawarma comes off the spit in a delicious and warm Pita Bread, the Falafel goes into the oil at that moment, flavory Dolmas, creamy Hummus and our homemade Gyro.
